Tidbit: Percy Harvin Yards Per Touch

Defensive backs take part of their traditional pregame huddle before taking the field for warmups.

Percy Harvin only played a handful of snaps in 2013. Those snaps were pretty darn memorable. A reader asked me a few weeks ago if I knew what his average gain per touch was. I didn’t know then. I do now.

Here is a look at what Harvin did receiving, rushing and returning in 2013. The numbers include regular season and post-season.

Befitting the unique nature of Harvin as a player, he was least lethal as a receiver, which is his given position. Eighteen yards per carry and 72 yards per kickoff return helped him average over 24 yards per touch in 2013. A glimpse at why Seahawks fan have reason to believe the offense could just be getting started.
