Seahawks TE Luke Willson and CB Tharold Simon have both returned to practice today, according to coach Pete Carroll.
Having those two players back in time for Sunday’s must-win game at Carolina will contribute to an area the Seahawks have been sorely lacking in recent weeks: Depth.
It’s especially important to have those two back this week, Carroll said, because the team is still unsure about the status of Zach Miller and Byron Maxwell. Third-string TE Cooper Helfet filled in admirably for Miller and Willson last week in St. Louis, catching three passes for 61 yards and a touchdown.
DT Jordan Hill will likely miss his second straight game Sunday. Max Unger also looks iffy to play Sunday, but Carroll said his status will be updated as they get closer to kickoff.
