Earl Thomas, Richard Sherman, and Bobby Wagner have been named to the Associated Press’ list of First-Team All-Pro players. For Thomas and Sherman, this is the third consecutive year they’ve been named to the team, and for Wagner, it’s his first (and well-deserved) such recognition.
Two other Seahawks – Marshawn Lynch and Kam Chancellor – were voted Second-Team All-Pro.
Sherman received 41 votes to the First Team, while Darrelle Revis received 42. Many will point to this and attempt to rub Sherman’s face in it, but they should understand it would only increase the size of the chip boulder on his shoulder with a mere eight days until the Seahawks’ first playoff game.
The full list of Seahawks who received an All-Pro vote is as follows:
- Marshawn Lynch, 7 (+ one vote as a fullback, inexplicably)
- James Carpenter, 1
- Michael Bennett, 3
- Bobby Wagner, 31
- Richard Sherman, 41
- Earl Thomas, 39
- Kam Chancellor, 14
