It seems like Demarcus Dobbs has bounced on and off the injury report in every game this year. He’ll miss today’s game in Minnesota after suffering a concussion last week. Jordan Hill will also miss the game with a toe injury, which means depth at defensive tackle won’t be a huge luxury today. Brandon Mebane and Ahtyba Rubin will have their hands full trying to stop Adrian Peterson.

I held my breath when I saw Jeremy Lane’s name on the injury report earlier this week, but it looks like he’s fine. His presence was sorely missed on the field, and he’s a huge upgrade over Cary Williams. (Then again, so is DeShawn Shead, who’s listed as the starting right corner on the team’s depth chart.)
Bruce Irvin’s name is not on the injury report after coming in last Sunday as doubtful. He surprised everyone and played a decent game against Pittsburgh despite the status.
In bigger news for Minnesota, they’ll be missing their ace defensive tackle Linval Joseph, as Brian mentioned in a previous post. Joseph is ranked as the second-best run stuffing DT in the league this year, and hasn’t missed a game so far. The Vikings may feel his absence. They’ll also be missing starting safety Andrew Sendejo, who’s been a big part of Mike Zimmer’s defense so far.
Safety Harrison Smith and linebacker Anthony Barr will both play today, but both are less than 100 percent.
